ERAS & NRMP
The majority of GME programs select new applicants via The Match, using two national services (ERAS and NRMP) for the application and matching process.
Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS)
ERAS is an online tool used to assess applications, manage interviews, send messages, create reports, and rank applicants. Inquire with your department to determine if your program utilizes the ERAS system. Contact Christy (firstname.lastname@example.org) to gain access to ERAS.
National Residency Match Program (NRMP)
NRMP is an online service which matches medical school graduates to residency and fellowship programs. Through NRMP, applicants may be “matched” to programs via the certified rank order lists. If a resident/fellow does not match during the main match of NRMP, they may participate in SOAP (Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program). Inquire with your department to determine if your program utilizes NRMP. Contact Christy (email@example.com) for information on gaining program access to NRMP.
