Resident Leadership Council

The Resident Leadership Coucil (RLC) members are a peer selected group. The council meets monthly to discuss topics that effect the learning, wellbeing, and social aspects of residency/fellowship training.  

 

Mission Statement

In its role as resident representation for the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC), the mission of the RLC is to serve as a voice for all trainees, providing residents and fellows with the tools necessary to excel as physicians and dentists and ensure a supportive training environment.

Resident/Fellow Feedback Form

The UMN Resident Leadership Council (RLC) created the Resident/Fellow Concern Form to give all GME trainees an opportunity to share their concerns and feedback without inviting intimidation or retaliation. Submissions to this form are viewed by the co-chairs confidentially.

Deadlines:

Agenda topics and their supporting documentation must be received by 4:30 PM on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.  Topics and supporting documentation received after the deadline may have to wait for next month's meeting.  Please plan accordingly.

RLC Meeting time:

The RLC meetings are held the 4th Tuesday of each month (June and December meetings may be canceled, check the calendar). The meeting takes place from 5:30-6:30 PM in B-646 Mayo

Regular attendance at this meeting is critical to our accreditation status and vital to our mission.  Core members who are unable to attend a meeting are asked to contact their alternate to attend in their absence.  Attendance reports are emailed quarterly to department chairs with a copy to the members.

The agenda will be emailed by 4:30pm on the Friday prior to the RLC meeting each month.  Please familiarize yourself with the agenda and supporting documentation in advance so that we may have a more productive meeting.
