The Medical School Office of Faculty Affairs is pleased to announce three final candidates have been chosen in our search for the next Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs.

Emmanuel Peprah, PhD

Emmanuel Peprah, PhD

Emmanuel Peprah, PhD, is a Senior Advisor and Health Scientist Administrator for the Center for Translation Research and Implementation Science at the National Health, Lung, and Blood Institute, National Institutes of Health. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland University College.

Dr. Peprah is the founder of the Baakoye Foundation, a non-profit venture philanthropic organization dedicated to serving people in sub-Saharan Africa, and the co-founder of the Washington Leaders Index, which aims to empower the next generation of emerging leaders through active, innovative, and inclusive leadership program. Both non-profit organizations serve the needs of children and people nationally and internationally within distinct and overlapping domains of education and health.

Susan Everson-Rose, PhD, MPH

Susan Everson-Rose, PhD, MPH

Susan Everson-Rose, PhD, MPH, is an Associate Professor in the University of Minnesota Medical School Department of Medicine, in the Division of General Internal Medicine. She is the Associate Director for the Program in Health Disparities Research, a program dedicated to promoting health equity through collaborative research, education, and trusted partnerships. Dr. Everson-Rose is also the co-founder and current Director of the Health Equity Leadership and Mentoring (HELM) Program, which serves junior faculty and post-doctoral trainees from backgrounds under-represented in academia, and/or those doing health disparities or health equity-related research.

Amanda Termuhlen, MD

Amanda Termuhlen, MD

Amanda Termuhlen, MD, is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California. She is the Medical Director of Clinical Services, Director of Faculty Development, and Medical Education Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/BMT at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Dr. Termuhlen is also a committee member for the American Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC) Group on Faculty Affairs, where she developed and led/co-led national peer-reviewed workshops on motivating faculty members, speed mentoring, and workshop design. Dr. Termuhlen is a standing member of the Alumnae Advisory Group for ELAM, a fellowship program for women faculty in medicine, dentistry, and public health.
